If you are homeschooling in Marin County and the surrounding Bay Area (or are considering it,) we'd like to invite you to connect with other families for information, community, and activities. Benefits of membership are many -- we have a current family roster, a message board, and a calendar filled with field trips, classes, and other events, as well as other resources to support homeschoolers.
We are a diverse group and welcoming of all families, regardless of homeschooling approach, and we do not favor one method, philosophy, or religion. We have many different structures and beliefs, and all are respected.

Homeschooling Support
Marin Homeschoolers uses Meetup.com to help our community plan events and field trips as well as post discussions and photos. There are approximately 250 families with which to share your homeschooling experience -- discuss your fears, hesitations, triumphs and joys; arrange for co-ops, classes and other social events; find resources and media links to help educate yourself and others about your decision to homeschool; make connections and find community among others who are choosing this educational path...and so much more!
Once you have a Meetup.com account, you can apply for membership by answering a few questions and attending a Meet & Greet at one of our weekly Park Days (to ensure the safety of our children.) A fellow homeschooler will respond promptly. A nominal fee of $5 is requested, but payment is not required to join -- fees help to maintain the Meetup site and this website, and contributions are greatly appreciated.
